Liberal vs Conservative

June 8, 2010 | by Dmitriy Belous | Category: English Thursdays

Liberals and conservatives. We hear these words thrown around very often. But often times we do not even know the true meaning behind these two Christian world views. While accusing some to be liberal Christians, you might end up being one yourself, because actually your source of authority is not Bible alone. Maybe it’s Bible and feelings, or Bible and human logic. But whatever it may be, liberal source of authority boils down to three possibilities: reason, feelings, conscience. Conservative view holds to the authority of Holy Scriptures alone.

Who or what is your source of authority? Who or what dictates your Christian knowledge?
